To make your own jewelry, you only need a few basic supplies. With the right materials and tools, you can easily design bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.
Materials
Beads and charms
Beads and charms determine the appearance of your jewelry and are therefore the essential materials you need.
Stringing wire
When making beaded necklaces and bracelets, you need stringing wire such as elastic and metal wire.
Cord/thread/leather
In addition to stringing wire, other cords, thread, and leather are also basic materials for making jewelry.
Tools
Pliers
Flat-nose pliers, round-nose pliers, and tools. Each plier has important features such as opening and closing jump rings, making loops, and cutting wire.
Bead board
Ideal for measuring your jewelry and laying out your design.
Components
Jump rings
Essential for connecting different parts, such as attaching clasps or charms to your jewelry.
Crimp beads and covers, clamshells, and wire protectors
These small components provide a neat finish, especially with metal wire. Crimp beads are small beads that you can squeeze closed with flat-nose pliers on your wire to make a loop; this is necessary, for example, to attach a clasp. A cover or clamshell neatly hides your crimp beads.
Clasps
A beautiful clasp completes your jewelry. There are lobster clasps, toggle clasps, magnetic clasps, and more.
Jewelry glue
Jewelry glue from Hasulith can be used for gluing leather, metal, wood, and glass. With this, you can glue end caps onto leather, but also make the knot of your elastic even more secure.
For gluing rhinestones and glass stones, we recommend the specially designed strass 244 jewelry glue.
