Making jewelry is very personal and what you want to make determines what you will need for this. However these are the basics that should not be missing when making jewelry:
Pliers
When making jewelry you will definitely use flat nose pliers, round nose pliers and side cutters. Each of these 3 types of pliers have their own properties such as opening and closing jump rings, making loops and cutting wire.
Bead design board
The specified dimensions of a bead design board help you to easily obtain the desired length for making bracelets and necklaces. These measurements are shown in centimeters (inner numbers) and inches (outer numbers). The bead design board is also meant for laying out and possibly rearranging your beads and charms until you have the desired design in front of you.
Jewelry glue
The transparent jewelry glue from the brand Hasulith can be used, among other things, for gluing leather, metal, wood and glass. Use it for example to glue leather cords to end caps or secure the (triple) knot of your elastic to make it last.
We recommend the special rhinestone 244 jewelry glue for setting rhinestones and glass stones.
Elastic thread and/or metal wire
Indispensable when making basic jewelry is elastic thread or metal wire with which you can easily make bracelets or necklaces.
Jump rings
Jump rings are used to connect all important items such as clasps, charms and earring hooks to your jewelry. This makes them an absolute must when making jewelry.
Crimp beads
These are small beads used for fixing loops on your metal wire with flat nose pliers. You will use these crimp beads a lot when finishing your jewelry. To conceal a crimp bead, attach a crimp bead cover or knot cover.
Clasps
Unless you are going for a knotted finish, you will also need clasps, of course. Depending on your type of jewelry, you can choose from magnetic clasps, lobster clasps, slide lock and toggle clasp. Most locks have a small eyelet for attaching a jump ring so that it can be attached to your bracelet or necklace.
